In some single missions, victory can be achieved by absorbing the magnetic force itself. You must feed your station the maximum amount possible. The goal of the game on all levels remains the same. In this case, you need to calculate not only the closest behavior of your opponents and interaction with them, but also the more distant trajectories of their flights. Thus, the balls can be influenced by gravity or inertial force. The gameplay is complicated by external environmental factors. In a collision, launch, both interacting substances begin to absorb each other, up to the complete destruction of one of them. There are also clumps of antimatter on some levels. In this case, you’ll need to be cunning to maneuver between giant specimens and not get at them for food.
Possible enemies can either be absolutely stationary or have a certain initial speed. Upon entering the game for the first time, the user turns out to be a small substance surrounded by large and massive neighbors. Osmos’ gameplay is reminiscent of a microorganism survival simulator. This works both ways though, if a player controlled person collides with the larger one your station loses some mass and volume and later gets completely absorbed. Exactly the same thing happens in gameplay – the big balls “eat” the small ones.
The gameplay is similar to a fight for survival, where the strong absorbs the weak. The main principle of the game is the absorption of other, weaker representatives by one’s own body.
