Basically, instead of extruding the entire enclosed profile of your sketch, this option simply extrudes a thin wall along the profile. Extrusion also has options for 2 sided and symmetric extrusion, under direction. Looking to extrude a sketch "around" a part (complex body) to make a jig to hold that part. A circle (construction) is used to provide a place to use the "coincident" constraint. It was not obvious (to me, a noob) to use "combine" to do a "split type" operation between two bodies.
